Meet Dan Smith, Founder and CEO of Clearly Financial

Experience and Expertise:

Dan’s idea to offer Consulting for Card payments services to businesses came after a 20 years in commercial payments, where he witnessed the enormous benefits and savings available to businesses.

Big banks tended to focus on growing card programs but always hit a wall on supplier and vendor acceptance. Clearly Financial was designed to change all that.

Keen to share those benefits between Buyers and Vendors, Dan formed partnerships with partners,  software providers, and processors to deliver those benefits.

Working at Banks and Networks (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) meant Dan knew where to focus.

Dan learned Card Issuing, then Acquiring (aka Merchant Accounts) and then at Mastercard’s Commercial Development team how to tie together both ends of a Payment.

Dan twice expanded his role, first taking on Relationships for: Citibank, Bank of America, JP Morgan, and WEX and then by bringing SaaS partners into the Network to monetize payments.

Dan’s deep knowledge means he can help virtually every business monetize their products and services with digital payments.

Having seen trillions of dollars stranded in antiquated systems, Dan is very excited to partner with friends and colleagues to tackle Payments opportunities in exciting new ways.

After all that is YOUR working capital the other guys are leaving on the table.
